Bellows and Drip Cups
Granule contamination during the tabletting process can cause costly
manufacturing problems. Punch Bellows and Drip Cups help to prevent
tablet and punch guide contamination during the tablet compression
process. All silicone Bellows and Drip cups supplied by I Holland are
100% FDA compliant. In addition to our standard bellows and drip cups, I Holland have now developed a range that are identifiable by standard
metal detection equipment.
Universal Seal Groove
Punches are able to incorporate the Universal Seal Groove, which allows
Bellows to be fitted onto upper punches forming a flexible seal between
the turret and the
punch barrel thus reducing the risk of oil contamination from the
machine's lubrication system. Drip Cups can also be fitted to the
Universal Seal Groove, allowing the user a choice of solutions. The
Universal Seal Groove can be applied to I Holland Euro 'B'
and 'D' type Punches. Alternatively, it is possible to fit the
Universal Seal Groove to any Punch type provided that the tablet
compression tooling design will accommodate the required fixing groove
and the punch barrel diameter does not exceed the Bellows
Rotahead punches allow the head to rotate
independently to the punch body, providing a 'bearing' between the punch
head and cams. The punch head can be manufactured from a harder,
more wear resistant material optimising metallurgical characteristics
of the punch assembly, and providing extended tooling life.
Die Alignment Tools
The die alignment tool is used in
conjunction with multi-tipped and shaped punches. The die alignment tool
aligns the die bores relative to the keyways in the turret guides; this
allows all dies to be fitted rapidly and accurately.
Designed with Wash In Place (WIP) solutions
in mind, this coated key is extremely resistant to corrosion. When
partnered with the appropriate PharmaGrade®
steel, this is the ideal
tool for WIP presses.
Are provided to aid initial press set up and
single sort rejection. These punches are often embossed with different
marks to distinguish between tablets.
